In February 2000 six fellow students and I founded
<sitewaerts>. With our company we realize large scale software projects on basis of the industrial standard J2EE. We created the Futuna Business Server with wich we carried out several big software projects in the fields of Content Management, E-Business and E-Learning. We are professional partners of BEA Systems, ORACLE and Sun Microsystems.
From left to right: Felix Schauerte works as CEO. Nico Schmidt-Offhaus, also CEO. Mathias Würthle is a very entertaining guy. Has moved to Düsseldorf where he very succesfully works as an software developer/architect/consultant. Nicki Helfrich just finished university, I'm unsure what he is up to at the moment. Frank Esch, the last of the three CEOs. In the back Daniel Hoppe, a good friend of mine, also living in Vienna and currently finishing his PhD in Marketing Science. To the right, myself.
During my time at <sitewaerts> we realized a number of large projects. A short outline of three of the pojects is given below.

Based upon our Furuna Business Server we realized a portal site for FINSTRAL AG. You can view the portal under the companies URL
http://www.finstral.com. In this portal product information and configuration utilities are provided for retailers and customers in 8 different languages. Further highlights of this project are dynamic pdf-creation based on product information, searchable CD-exports of product information, oder- and product-tracking system, and the conncetion with intranet systems.

The intra- and internet portal site for the
university hospital of achen has different requirements than the portal site of FINSTRAL. With this project it was important to enable distributed administration and content editing with a complex user management. More than different 100 editors provide the contents for the users of the portal using a versioning and workflow system.

For the company
MENNEKES we realized a portal solution with a connection to the company's SAP R/3 System making ERP data accessible through the internet.
Further projects we realized with Futuna Business Server were
CyberForum e.V., a content management system for the entrepreneurical society CyberForum in Karlsruhe, and
Planet Sports, an online-shop for sports-clothing.
A couple of newspaper articles were published about us of
<sitewaerts>. The one shown in the picture above I like the most, it is taken from one of the spring issues 2001 of the
hochschulanzeiger, which is a magazine coming with the
FAZ newspaper.
