Hello visitor! Welcome to my homepage. On this page you will find some (more/less official) information about me. Enjoy!
I use this homepage to post stuff that I think is worth sharing with the whole world. Also I post personal stuff (like links) here, that I want to have accessible online. However, recently I have strated writing a blog together with my wife Baddý, new stuff will go there. You find the blog at
http://blog.breidert.net.
You will find here information about my awesome time doing a PhD at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, being an entrepreneur founding two companies
<sitewaerts> and
BMSO, working as venture capitalist for
PONTIS Venture Partners, and heading the startup
DealHamster.com.
I keep all my private stuff (photos, files, etc.) at
Remotealbum.com. Remotealbum is a online service for storing and sharing private data. I keep my private pictures there (and not on picasa or facebook) because I do not want to give my pictures to these services for further use. On Remotealbum everything that is your data stays your data.
Remotealbum is run by my wife Baddy Sonja and I helped her implement parts of it as well as my friend Stefan.

News
February 2011 The latest thing we are doing is
1xINTERNET.
Inspired by 1und1' "Do-it-yourself-homepage" we pretty much offer the same thing, just that it's not "Do-it-yourself". It's cheap and there are many ready-made designs to choose from. For each customer we insert the logo and adapt to the CI, edit text and pictures, done. Then we host it on our servers with webspace and email mailboxes for a monthly fee.
The pricing of 1xINTERNET is slightly above 1und1, but if you "do-it-yourself", the outcome is likly to look crappy, if we do it for you, it will look professional.
March 2010 Together with Stefan and Markus from
i5invest.com we built the couponing website
DealHamster.com. On this page we semi-automatically collect coupons (Gutscheine) for online-shops. On DealHamster we provide almost any coupons available. Additionally to online-shops we focus on offline-coupons that can be redeemed in lokal stores.
A good example is the awesome
coupon for the tailor Rotknopf in Vienna. When buying a tailor-made suit and presenting our coupon you get a tailor made shirt for free. Good Deal!
Update Dezember 2010 We sold it to
Müller Medien
December 2009 Yes yes, I have been lazy updating my homepage. Anyhow, since I am the responsible investment manager of
PONTIS Capital for the games company
Xendex Holding, and Xendex succesfully launched the probably most famous arcade game
Space Invaders, I thought I share this with you.

Jippiee, finally my private homepage is back online. Due to server problems (I had an old desktop machine), I finally took the time to setup a new server. Brand new HP ProLiant, raid, vmware, proxies everything you want. That was a lot of geekfun.
Little update here: Stuff is now moved to a hosting provider, I guess I do not have a good hand running my own hardware.
August 14th, 2007 Lately I started collecting stencils also referred to as street art. These are pretty cool designs you find in all bigger cities in the world. It is a method of applying a design by brushing ink or paint through a cut-out surface. The result can be seen in the picture above. This is a stencil photographed near Museumsquartier in Vienna.
