February 12th, 2006 This weekend I went to see Tennis Daviscup Germany against France in Halle in Germany. My friend
Alexander Waske, who I know from the old days plays double for Germany. His partner is
Tommy Haas. You see them both on the picture, Alex is the guy on the right. Until this weekend the double Haas/Waske had been unbeaten, but this was unfortunately changed by the french team. The french played really well, and let Haas/Waske little chance to get into their usual powerful game. However, Haas/Waske showed an incredible first set, which they won in the tie-breaker. The second set was lost, in the third set they had some very good chances, which they could not take advantage of. In the fourth set, the french team did not give them the chance to fight themselves back into the match. The results were 7:6, 3:6, 4:6, 1:6. One last remark, the french fans were great.

January 23rd, 2006 The server was down for about a week. The reason was that the motherboard of the machine the homepage is running on crashed. I had to get that fixed, which took a couple of days.
Then I had to move the server away from the Institute of Information Business where the server was running while it was under testing. Thanks folks, thanks Klaus.
