My name is Christoph Breidert, and I live and work in Vienna Austria. I moved to Vienna in 2002 after I finished studying at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH).

Originally I moved to Vienna to do a PhD. If you want to read about my dissertation, you find information in the academics section. However, I did the PhD at the Institute of Information Business of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. That was a great time and you find pictures and texts about this on the next page of this section.

During my time in Karlsruhe I founded two start-ups of which I sold my shares before moving to Vienna. I you want to read about that please direct to the pages onium - the help company and  <sitewaerts>.

After my PhD I joined the venture capital fund PONTIS Capital where I worked as investment manager with a strong focus on ICT-investments. ICT stands for Information and Communications Technology. PONTIS is primarily focused on technology oriented small and medium sized companies with a strong focus on high-tech and bio-tech. I am involved in all ICT-related investments, especially the software deals. Companies from our portfolio which I directly work on are RF-iT Solutions, Lixto, Kinamu, and SensorDynamics. After 5 years in the venture capital industry, I switched to the good side again and joined the internet startup DealHamster.com as CEO. The startup is financed by a German Publisher called Müller Medien. We built up a nice team, good partners and a very nice online portal. Check it out.

What more is there to say about me? Hhmm, I play a lot of basketball and am member of the world famous team Basket Clubs II. Well, lately we loose a lot, but it should get better.

Some years back I started kite surfing. This is a cool sport. I am not good at it ( yet :), but it is definitly a lot of fun. Since I met my beautiful wife Baddy Sonja I started to play golf. I must say this is also a lot of fun.
