This is a little java program I wrote to manage my mp3 files. It is freeware you can download the programm at the bottom of this page. Below you see a screenshot of the program.
This is a little java program I wrote to manage my mp3 files. It is freeware you can download the programm at the bottom of this page. Below you see a screenshot of the program.
Usage1) In the top field you set the path to your winamp player. You can see in the screenshot, that my path is set to 'Program FilesWinampwinamp.exe'. To set you winamp player select the path to the executable and press 'Go'.
2) The middle field is used to add mp3 files. To add files select the directory that contains the files press 'Go'.
3) The third field is for searching mp3 fiels. Enter a search term and press 'Go'. You have several options for searching. 'Anything' searches for the term in all ID-Tag fields, 'Everything' displays all added files, the other options 'Title', 'Artist', and so on search in the corresponding fields.
4) You play or enqueue files in you winamp player by marking the files and pressing the 'Play' or 'Enqueue'. To remove files from the list mark them and press 'Remove', for clearing the list press 'Clear'.
5) The list of files can be ordered by clicking on the table headers. Clicking on 'Title' sorts the files by title, clicking on 'Artist' by artist, and so on.
5) If you want to see what is happening while you are using the program click 'Verbose' on the bottom to the right. If you click 'Load files on startup' the added files are display when you start the program.
Licence
Mp3Tool is freeware. The program was written just for fun. You can use it, modify it, redistribute it anyway you like. But please be aware of, that I do not take any liabiliteis of the usage of this program.
Downloads
Mp3Tool.exe is a selfextracting zip file, which contains Mp3Tool.jar and some shortcuts and icons to start the program. This is most easy to set up.
Mp3Tool.jar is just the jar file. Note that this is an executable jar.
Mp3Tool.zip contains the java sourcefiles and compiled class files.
